(Arlington, TX) Seated at a white café table, in his signature, all white, Apostle Ed Citronnelli, founder of World Healing Church, appeared relaxed as he explained the scriptural basis for the believer’s need for deliverance. Before him sat twenty people who had made the commitment to the spiritual journey of recovery via the Rapha Clinic. The event was a two-day, intensive deliverance cohort and was the first of its kind for the ministry. Hosted at World Healing Church’s Arlington campus, attendees were welcomed into the Freedom Arena for an intimate time of worship and teaching. However, for this occasion, the intimate setting and atmosphere of the Milk & Honey Café proved to be exactly what the doctor ordered for the group.
The ministry is known for multi-day trainings in the areas of spiritual warfare and deliverance. Rapha Clinic was a rare boot camp in both, with a focus on practical application of spiritual keys and presented accessibly to allow attendees to identify areas where they are in need of deliverance.
Running full throttle with the “clinic” theme and visuals, attendees were met by staff and volunteers dressed in full medical scrubs. They then completed the necessary paperwork in the form of intake forms to allow the deliverance team to determine the best course of spiritual care for them.
Though the ministry is known for deliverance, private sessions are mostly a rare occurrence due to demand and logistics. Rapha Clinic was different. A crucial element of the event was the individual deliverance session, facilitated in closed-door settings with no cameras present. The ministry, with more than 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, regularly has videos go viral for video clips and demonstrations of the delivering power of the Holy Spirit. For followers of the ministry, this is a sought-after opportunity.
On the origins of Rapha Clinic, Apostle Citronnelli recounts receiving the instructions from the Lord to organize the event: “During that prayer and fasting time, I heard the word ‘rapha’. Now, I sat there to understand what that really meant. And that’s where the clinic came in. He said, ‘Why don’t you put together a time when people will come, like a clinic, and call it Rapha? For the purpose of that clinic would be for healing, delivering emotionally—as well, inner healing— and everything that’s connected to healing because that’s who I am.”
God declares Himself as Jehovah Rapha in Exodus 15:26, saying to the children of Israel, “For I am the Lord who heals you.” Healing is therefore a promise of God in Scripture. The Word of the Lord that was released over 2026 through Apostle Citronnelli announced 2026 as the Year of YHWH—A Year of Promises Fulfilled. Biblically spurred on by the account recorded in Genesis 26:18-26, this year, perhaps more than in those prior, the church and Ed Citronnelli Ministries have been expanding the types of events that they host. There was an emphasis on in-depth leadership trainings in the first part of the year, a shift in the methodology of out-of-state events, and now, the addition of an entirely new type of event.
One of the key teachings from day one—the sinful nature of man and the need for deliverance that every human being has—was well illustrated by the diversity of backgrounds, spiritual maturity, and needs among the group. “We have had a vast difference in attendees,” explained David Ahart, Associate Pastor of World Healing Church and a crucial team member for Ed Citronnelli Ministries. “We have people here that have been saved one week. We have people here that have been saved for 30 years that are attending. And each of them have various needs. And we have people from the most basic—secular needs coming straight out of the world system. And then we have others who have experienced church hurt and offense.”
Throughout the event and into day two, the intimate setting of the Milk & Honey Café created an atmosphere of safety and informality. Times of teaching gave way to deep discussions as attendees asked questions and shared stories as they began to connect their personal experiences to the topics being discussed. “It’s made them aware of where they’ve allowed the enemy in and what they need to do to keep the doors closed,” explained Pastor Ahart. “So, there is a high expectation today as we’re going into the personal ministry time.”
There was seriousness and palpable expectation in the room as the time for personal ministry came. Left to their own faith, many of the participants gathered in groups to pray and focus their attention on the Lord. One by one, they were called away for times of personal healing and deliverance. And, one by one, they returned to the Milk & Honey Café different in ways that were evident, yet not easily explained.
The mood inside the room very quickly shifted from one of unspoken anxiety to one of rejoicing and anticipation. People stepped through the café doors, appearing lighter. The eyes of some sparkled. Some were crying. At least one was led back by a volunteer clinician, shaking and bewildered after being touched powerfully by the power of God. “I loved seeing people go into their deliverance and coming out completely different,” said Jocelyn M., E-commerce Resource Manager for Ed Citronnelli Ministries. “I saw a man come in very—just looked very unhappy. And, when he came out after his deliverance session, I saw nothing but smiles and happiness.”
After facilitating several hours of closed deliverance sessions, Apostle Citronnelli emerged from the sanctuary like a surgeon who had just been used to work miracles. Standing tall and steady, his skin appeared sticky with the dew of perspiration. No doubt, the ministry of conflict and violence — as Apostle refers to it — had just been rendered with precision. On his white scrubs, a lone, thumb-sized makeup stain was the only other visible sign of the spiritual battle that had just ensued.
Speaking on the event, Apostle Ed shared:
“Rapha Clinic has been a time like no other. It was unique; it was different; and it was the first time that we have ever done this in the history of Ed Citronnelli Ministries. The intent of Rapha was not just to get the people delivered, even though they got that… The ultimate goal was to equip them with knowledge based on the Word of God so that they can both (a) sustain their deliverance through knowledge. And then help others get delivered through the same knowledge that they themselves received.”
As the group gathered together on Saturday evening to close out the Rapha Clinic, victory and divine satisfaction ruled. An awareness of the love of God and gratitude for His faithfulness were felt and expressed as the group settled into the lived reality of having just experienced deliverance. YHWH had kept His promise.
Over two thousand years later, Christ Jesus, who ascended into heaven and is currently seated at the right hand of the Father, still saves. The man from Galilee who healed the woman who had been bleeding for twelve consecutive years still heals (Mark 5:25-34; Matthew 9:20-22; Luke 8:43-48). Jesus, who, when He stepped out of a boat and onto the region of Gadarenes, set free a man who had been tormented by a legion of demons, still delivers (Mark 5:1-20). Once he had been restored, Jesus told the man from Gadarenes, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” (Mark 5:19) And the man did exactly that. For the attendees of Rapha Clinic, the expectation is the same.
Having received teaching and freedom, it is time for the attendees to live out Jesus’ bold declaration of Isaiah’s prophecy in Luke 4:18-19:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon them,
because He has anointed them
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent them to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
“I believe that what the people got this weekend was not just for now,” shared Apostle Citronnelli, “But it’s for them to carry for the rest of their lives. And [for] everyone else that they will come in contact with.”
This weekend in Arlington, Texas, YHWH kept His promises. Jehovah Rapha, healed.
