Text: James: 3:1-12 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Words– Words are containers, like a jar that holds liquid. Words will hold content. What you put in the container will determine what you drink. You will experience what you speak. What is in the vessel is what comes out of your mouth. Out of the abundance of the mouth will flow what was in your heart. The heart is a container.
Words can create or destroy your tomorrow! Angels and spirits are mobilized by the words of our mouth. (Psalms 103:20) When we use the opposite words that are not God’s we mobilize demonic forces/evil spirits.
When we say nothing is working for me then we shall eat the fruit of what we say. Idle words will attract evil spirits. We will be judged by idle words. By your words, you will be justified or condemned. Justified is to be exonerated or liberated. Your sentence is revoked or suspended. Condemnation will render a sentence. By your words, you will either be set free or bind yourself.
Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking but he that refrains his lips is wise.
“Ladies, I want to teach you how to maximize your gift of speech.” Even President Trump chose a woman as his press secretary. 1 Peter 3:10 says For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.
Your tongue has the ability to produce death or life. Those who love it will eat the fruit thereof. We can eat the fruit if we speak properly. Many demons have entered through the ear. (Demon named criticism, corrupt communication, gossip). Don’t allow your ear to become a garbage can for demon powers.
Your negative words will employ demons. When you say you don’t feel well or speak negatively, it will open doors for the demonic.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake (ransack you) thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
Your tongue will grant you access to partake of the blessings in the city and in the field…Your enemies will flee from before you seven different ways! The Lord shall command His blessings upon me and my bank account.
Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. Use your tongue to bring fruit to your tree during the day.
Speak seeds into the realms of the spirit that will bear fruit.
Mathew 15:10-20 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” 12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” 13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” 15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.” 16 So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”
