Four reasons why some people don’t get delivered.
- They don’t truly want to repent. There must be the fruit of repentance. The demon spirit inside will know this, and it gives them legal ground that not even Jesus can cast them out. Demons know their rights.
- Failure to confess certain sins. Don’t hide your sins. That one sin is enough for the demon to stay. James 5:16 says confess your faults one to another and then pray one for another that you may be healed.
- Lack of Forgiveness. Unforgiveness is deadly. Mark 11:25 When you stand praying, forgive. If you have ought against any then forgive that your Father in heaven will forgive or release you. Forgiveness is a choice or a decision.
- They don’t want to release occultic involvement. Acts 19:24 By this craft(witchcraft) we gain our wealth. We can’t stop building demonic shrines because it will stop our flow of money. Refuse to part with demonic involvement. (2 Peter 2:20-22) Don’t be like the dog who returns to his vomit…
10 steps to maintain your deliverance
- Yield to the lordship of Jesus in every area. In your money, marriage, children, even what you wear, etc.
- Continuously be filled with the Holy Spirit– Your house can’t be empty.
- Live by the Word of God…man shall not live by bread alone but by…
- Put on the whole armor of God especially the helmet of salvation.
- Cultivate the right relationships– know whom to get rid of.
- Cultivate the right fellowship– Not all churches are equal.
- Make Jesus central in your life.
- Live a disciplined life of prayer, fasting, and worship.
- Make sure that nothing keeps you out of the house of God.
- Don’t go back to what you were delivered from.
